Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA). When you visit the website, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address, the requested page, date and time, referrer, and browser information to deliver the website and to protect it against abuse. These server logs are deleted automatically after a short period.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Vercel processes the data on our behalf based on a data processing agreement. Transfers to the USA are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Analytics
To understand how the website is used, we use PostHog (PostHog Inc., USA). The data is stored on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt). No cookies are set and nothing is stored on your device. Each page load gets a random, temporary identifier that is discarded when you close or reload the page.
The following data is collected: visited pages (without URL parameters other than campaign parameters such as utm_source), the referring website (domain only), browser and operating system, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Your IP address itself is not stored.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). PostHog processes the data on our behalf. As PostHog Inc. is based in the USA, access to the data from the USA can't be ruled out. The data is deleted automatically at the end of the retention period of our PostHog plan (one year on the free plan, seven years on paid plans).
No Other Tracking
This website doesn't use cookies, social media plugins, or external fonts (all fonts are served from our own domain).
If you switch the color theme, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so it persists across visits. It never leaves your device.
Contact by Email
If you contact us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering inquiries (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), or, if your request concerns a contract, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. We delete the data once your request is resolved, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Your Rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectify (Art. 16 GDPR), and erase (Art. 17 GDPR) your personal data, to restrict its processing (Art. 18 GDPR), and to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). To exercise your rights, contact us at hi@zoma.email.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the Thuringian State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (TLfDI).
You are not obliged to provide any personal data. No automated decision-making (including profiling) takes place.
